Every morning, well at least more mornings than not, when the kids are waiting in line to enter school, my 6 YO and one other boy seem intent on beating each other up with playful roughness. They are not fighting out of hatred or anger of the other person but it gets rough with them tying to hit one another in the crotch, belly or swinging their backpack at the other. They do not do this with anybody else; it is just between the two of them when I step in to break it up and tell them both that friends do not

The tri-anual Top of the Rock awards were held 11-21-2008 in Castle Rock at Rock Ridge Elementary School and my 6 YO son was a part of it all!

Before the assembly we got the privilege of sharing a Thanksgiving lunch with staff, students and other parents in the cafeteria.

Its been many a year since I have been to an elementary school, let alone a Kindergarten lunch 30 minutes and boy have things changed! Remember those big plastic food compartment trays? They are now replaced with a disposable styrofoam tray you throw away when done with a plastic Spork. A lunch hour is well, cramed into 45 minutes,
